Seal Beach braces for more flooding from looming storm
Seal Beach, which saw flooding near beachfront homes from a storm last month, is bracing for more flooding as a bigger storm looms.

I have some gift cards for Target and my local store in Orange is less-than-exciting.
What's the nicest, biggest, best Target in OC?submitted by /u/WolfeHunter
I live in Huntington, I just accepted a job today that has me working in downtown LA for 3 weeks before coming closer to home.
I did a bit of research and it looks like I can get up at 6am and take a bus plus a Metrolink train to get to downtown LA in 2 hrs. It's kind of expensive -- about $300 a month for an OCTA bus pass and Metrolink pass, but it's cheaper than, say, Uber or Lyft (~$100/day). I looked up SuperShuttle but that goes to LAX, way out of downtown.
I'm just wondering if...
Hey guys, does anyone know where I'd be able to get a used car battery on the cheap for a 4Runner? I'm between jobs at the moment and need a car for interviews and such unfortunately.submitted by /u/crespoh69
Hi everyone, I'm graduating from a university here in Texas this May and will be moving to California the first week of June to begin a graduate internship in Orange. I'm looking for a place to live while I'm there but have yet to have much success. I was hoping someone could give me advice on good places to look for sublets or short-term housing in the area, or perhaps if they know of anyone that is subletting. For reference, I'm looking to move in the first week of June and move out...
This may be a rookie question but I'll ask it any way. I'm looking for a place to have a birthday party and I was wondering if there were any indoor or covered venues that I can rent ahead of time. Something like a dining hall. I want to avoid the park if possible and I don't live in a housing community that has a place like that.submitted by /u/aeekay
I have ever a 70s GM 4x4 and need a few things done. A good once over of the drivetrain, rear leaf springs and an electrical issue. Any recommendations near Laguna Hills?submitted by /u/Ennion
I'm shopping around for better pricing on ISP bundles. I saw an older post which compared these two ISP and just wanted to get a newer view. I'm looking to get 25mbps down, ~200 channels (no pay channels) +1 DVR service and 2 receivers ( i have a modem for Cox) + phone.
While I understand Cox is cable and shares connection with the neighborhood, I see lots more people with AT&T so not sure how congested it might be. I live in south orange county.
Pricing is my main concern. Currently...
I hear people say this a lot. There's nothing to do in Irvine, it's boring and so on. I obviously feel the opposite when it comes to Irvine. There's always plenty of things to do so I always get confused by that statement. When people say there's nothing to do, are they talking about bar scene? And if that's the case, is that really what people look for when deciding an area to live? Close access to the bars can be seen as a bad thing and a good thing. Mostly bad things in my opinion....
I'm aware there's a similar post on places to study, however I'm looking for a place with a nice outdoors patio to code/work by the beach.
I really like the Bluffs Shopping Center patio on Bison/MacArthur (free wifi even). Kind of looking for something similar but with a beach view.
Recently my laptop broke and I think a chip on my motherboard needs to be replaced. So I am looking for a place that does soldering, similar to what Louis Rossmann does on Youtube. If anyone knows a reliable laptop repair shop with reasonable prices that would be great. Thanks!submitted by /u/leegamer
I know this has been brought up before, but places are always opening or closing and/or changing their policies/culture.
I would like a place that is relatively quiet, preferably in a nice area maybe even with a view, that is indoors, where I don't have to pay a huge amount (I'm a student), and where I don't feel as though I'm not wanted there.
Libraries, cafes.. I'm open to new interesting suggestions as well.
I know I'm asking a lot, and I don't need everything, but I wanted to put the...

There's an event which I have a valid ticket for, but I can't attend. And if I don't attend I don't get the digital goodiebag. Get my ticket validated. PM me if you're interested, I'll even pay upfront. The event is today and ends at 5PM PDT.submitted by /u/bi_a_op
As the title says looking for a furniture store near Costa Mesa/Newport/Tustin/Santa Ana that has some great deals in furniture. Young couple moving to a home, don't have super high expectations/ standards in what's available but want some solid stuff that's not wal mart stuff that will implode in 6 months.submitted by /u/blazelate
I recently started playing with some co-workers and bought some cards, however, none of my friends play or are interested! So I guess I was just wondering if anyone would be willing to drink some beer and play some cards.
Just thought I'd throw it out there since I ain't got shit going on today. Ha.submitted by /u/rfuller924

There's and event today in Santa Ana which I can't attend. But I would still wish for my ticket to be validated as that would get me some digital goods as a reward in the game I play. If you want to attend this event, or want to bring the ticket for me just to be a pal I'll be happy to pay you to do so.submitted by /u/bi_a_op
So the semester is ending and I'm looking for a job once again. I've worked in a few restaurants in the past but I would say that my experience is still very minimal. Any suggestions?submitted by /u/tpham1206
