UK Airways has been in the spotlight recently after a series of incidents involving its employees and customers.

The airline was forced to apologise in the past for allowing its staff to work for months without pay.

UK’s Chief Executive, Michael Gove, has been criticised for his handling of the situation.UK Airways has said that the changes were made following a review of its business model and procedures.

It says that the number, type and length of time it will pay staff has been increased by an average of 20 per cent annually.

Airlines pay employees an hourly rate of about £7.50, with an annual bonus of about 80 per cent.

The company also pays bonuses of up to 40 per cent to employees who perform “essential services” such as catering and other non-essential tasks.
