NEW YORK CITY — New York city is on track to get its first zebra sign of the year this weekend, thanks to the city’s aquarius zendesk.
The city council approved the sign in September.
Aquarius is the zodiac constellation, meaning “the animal” and the sign of a zodiacal animal, such as a zebra, rabbit or lion.
Mayor Bill de Blasio has said he believes the sign has a symbolic meaning for the city.
The city is in the midst of a new effort to boost the economy and jobs, and this sign is a perfect way to encourage the community to stay engaged in the city and its economic development,” said Councilman Joe Borelli.
The sign has been a city fixture since 2011, when the city council passed a resolution calling for the sign to be on city property.
Zendesks have a star on top of a crown and two stars forming the word “aquarius.”
The sign is often used to identify a person or animal, and the council approved a resolution on the sign, which was adopted in June.”
Borelli said he is excited to see the sign on the city site.””
This symbolic sign will be on display in the City Hall plaza for several months until the next sign of zodiac is chosen.”
Borelli said he is excited to see the sign on the city site.
“This is a sign of good fortune for the City of New York.
It is symbolic of the city we are living in and our progress as a nation,” he said.
“The Aquarians will remain a symbol of hope for New Yorkers and tourists alike, and a sign to remind us that we have a future.”
